Corey Slutsky

Corey Slutsky is the owner and founder of Voices Only, for which he has been producing the Voices Only collegiate a cappella compilation album series since 2005.  Corey has been involved in a cappella since 1997.  He has been a singer, songwriter, vocal percussionist, arranger, musical director and president in five a cappella groups (collegiate: 2-time ICCA International Champions USC SoCal VoCals, University of Michigan Gentlemen, University of Michigan Kol HaKavod; professional: STREETNiX; CAL: Voxel Rox).  Corey leads workshops and masterclasses on recording and live performance at international a cappella festivals such as SoJam, the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival, and the Las Vegas A Cappella Festival.  He has served as an ICCA judge, nominator and judge for the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs), album reviewer for the Recorded A Cappella Review Board (RARB), and produced his master’s thesis on “the growth and explosion of a cappella music from 1990-2005.” Corey received his bachelor's degree in Sports Management from the University of Michigan and his master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. When not enjoying a cappella, Corey is the Chief of Sports Programming for the American Forces Network.

 

Alexis A WeisbrodHaving received her BFA in Dance Performance as well as her PhD in Critical Dance Studies, Alexis A Weisbrod has danced for as long as she has been able to walk.  Alexis has studied through the United States and Europe including University of Minnesota, CalArts, Alvin Ailey School, Edge Performing Arts Center and Pineapple Dance Studios.  In addition she has performed at venues nationally and internationally, including Highways Performance Space (Los Angeles), The Southern Theater (Minneapolis), Tanzsommer (Innsbruck, Austria) and her choreography has been seen at the University of California, Riverside, Mt. San Jacinto College, University of Minnesota, and Old Town Temecula Theater.  Alexis currently teaches jazz, hip hop and modern at Mt. San Jacinto College, is a regional competition director for Danceamerica and International Dance Challenge, and is the Manager of Development for The PGK Project, a contemporary dance company.
